Drenched

Jeans installation for the exhibition titled «Fashion Talks»

How many jeans do you own and how many do you really need? And do you know what comes with the production?

8000 liters of water gets wasted while the production of one jeans. With that though in mind I designed a huge jeans pocket hanging over a bath tub. The visitors had to fill in a percentage amount of water which was used for the production of his jeans. The water slowly dropped into the tube and colored the water blue, which symbolizes the pollution of all this water. This installation was a part of the exhibition “Fashion Talks” in Winterthur, Switzerland. This project symbolizes the lack of customer information and the jeans-overload we have.
